I spent years inside Methanex New Zealand and Winstone Pulp International working with operational data, production reporting and the PI System in petrochemical and forestry environments, and inside Powerco on asset and field operations data. I understand how plants and networks actually run, so you are not paying a consultant to learn your operation.

Questions
Can you connect the PI System to Power BI?
Yes. This is one of the most common projects I do. Depending on your licences and architecture, data can flow through PI Integrator for Business Analytics, the PI Web API or an intermediate data layer. I recommend the simplest option that is reliable for your situation.
Do you sell PI System licences?
No. I am an independent consultant and do not resell software or earn commissions. I work with the PI deployment you already have and advise impartially on what is worth changing.
Can you work on-site at our plant?
Yes. I am based in New Plymouth and work remote-first, coming on-site when it matters, for example for workshops, commissioning or working alongside your operations team.
We only need a small piece of work. Is that worthwhile?
Yes. A fixed-fee health check or a single automated report is a common starting point, and you know the cost before any work begins.
